CRESTWOOD PTA COMMUNITY YARD SALE,
BAKE SALE, AND AUCTION

Crestwood Elementary School
10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Rain date, Saturday, April 28

Rent a space (parking space sized) for $10 and sell whatever you like. You keep all the proceeds. Questions? E-mail Jennifer Killmer.

Not selling? Come by and check out all the great stuff for sale. And tell your friends and neighbors to stop by as well.

The SILENT AUCTION will offer the opportunity to bid on vacation spots, pool memberships, a hot air balloon ride, and more!

And to make the day even better, the PTA will also house a BAKE SALE and will be accepting donations of homemade baked goods. Please drop them off at the school by 10:00 a.m.

5:00 to  8:00 p.m.

Be sure to turn in your receipts to PTA representatives on site so that we receive credit for the monies spent or leave in the Crestwood ES office for the PTA. More than $350 was raised during the fall event and we hope to do even better this spring.

Ever dollar raised goes to the school or programs for your children.

School Board to Consider Shortening School Year

Received through FCPS Outreach on March 23, 2012:

The School Board will be considering revisions to the 2011-12 school year since, so far, FCPS has used only one of its three weather-related makeup days.  At its March 29 regular meeting, the board will begin to consider whether to schedule the last day of school for Friday, June 15, rather than on Tuesday, June 19, as noted in the current school calendar.  It will vote on the change at its April 12 meeting. If the board approves the calendar change, it will reassign June 18 and 19 as teacher workdays. However, if any unforeseen emergency closings should be required, schools may require make-up days.  FCPS will keep parents informed once a decision is made by the School Board.
